Lam Research Corporation's Community Outreach Program extends the core values of our Company into the communities where our employees live and work. The Program supports educational initiatives that engage and enrich the minds of motivated individuals through grants and scholarships. Our goal is to support grants which promote self—esteem, enhance skills, and illustrate the significance of schoolwork to a student's future success with a focus on math and the sciences. The Employee Gift Match Program supports nonprofit organizations of interest to Lam employees.

Partnerships
The program's goal is to establish a bridge between Lam and targeted schools by developing strong working partnerships through the support of identified educational programs. Lam endorses programs designed to develop school curricula that parallel job skill training applicable to the semiconductor industry and that establish closer relationships between faculty and students to secure a solid partnership for the ongoing exchange of technology. Research and development project grants support and promote research programs as well as a strong resource pool of graduate and undergraduate candidates. Partnership activities extend to teachers and administrators by providing ongoing development opportunities through the assistance of nonprofit organizations that focus on education.

In addition to cash contributions provided through the Community Outreach Program, Lam donates surplus goods (office furniture, supplies, etc.) to local schools and nonprofit organizations.
